Issue/Introduction

When you are upgrading DevTest to a new release you can have questions regarding the patches applied with the previous release.
Applying patches created for different releases can cause unknown issues in the environment.

Environment

All Supported DevTest releases.

Resolution

When upgrading, do not copy patches from previous DevTest releases to the new installation.
If doing an upgrade in place and the existing installation contains a LISA_HOME\lib\patches folder, the name of the folder is changed to patches.backup.
You should not need to apply any of the patches to the new installation.

If you believe the patch from the previous installation is needed with the new DevTest release installed, please open a support ticket and provide the patches name and the release you are upgrading your environment.
