EDCHEK issues error CAY6554E ALLOCATION FOR ADRSDSSU type TEMP FILE FAILED RC=nn REASON=nn

Issue/Introduction

When running EDCHEK (%EJCK, !JCK) repeatedly for JCL that has a large number of ADRDSSU steps, a memory shortage can occur in SWA subpool 236.  This can result in a
CAY6554E message, IEA705I messages and possible TSOID address space failure.

JCLCheck in batch mode does not have this problem.

SYMPTOMS:                                                           
 CAY6554E ALLOCATION FOR ADRSDSSU "IN" "004" TEMP FILE FAILED RC= "  
 IEA705I ERROR DURING GETMAIN SYS CODE = 878-10

Resolution

Apply PTF SO04759 to correct this problem.

Run jobs with large numbers of ADRDSSU steps using JCLCheck in batch mode.
