Unable to deploy probe package: "Dependency not found" or "communication error"

Issue/Introduction

Cannot deploy package from primary to hub server over a tunnel.  The error "Dependency not found" or "communication error" results when deploying probes this way.

Environment

DX UIM 20.4.x / 23.4.x 

 

Cause

Packages are not able to be distributed between hubs with tunnel connections.

Resolution

You must first copy the package to the remote hub.  You can then deploy the probe.

1. Connect to remote hub with Infrastructure Manager
2. Click on the Archive
3. Right click in the archive and choose Import Package
4. Select the package to import and select OK
5. Deploy package to the desired robot

 

OR

 

Move the probe's packages to the proxy hub, then log in to it in the IM, and deploy the probes.
