Issue/Introduction

SYSTEM ABEND FF2 when trying to browse or edit an IMS DB via CA File Master for IMS

Environment

Release:
Component: FMIMS

Resolution

An SFnn abend means that SVC X’nn’ isn’t installed. In this example SVC 242 (X'F2').
The SVC number is embedded in SDFSRESL member DFSVC000.
You may have to update that library or use one that has the correct SVC number generated.
That means, the CA File Master for IMS user has to check the environment - panel 0.5 (IMS ENV).
Adding the correct IMS SDFSRESL at the RESLIB #1 line could resolve the problem.
Otherwise you have to contact your IMS system administrator.
