Issue/Introduction

Oracle monitor probe configuration tool has stopped working. application crashes when we try to open configuration page.

 

Environment

UIM 9.0 and later
Oracle probe GUI via IM

Cause

Environment issues.

Resolution

To resolve issue with a GUI not opening the below steps and be done.

1) Exit IM and check task manager to make sure the process has stopped
2) go to the %temp% directory on the machine IM is installed on and delete all contents.
3) Start IM and test again.
4) If that still fails, another option is to uninstall the IM client restart the machine it is installed on and then reinstall it again to fix the issue.
(Make sure the antivirus is disabled during the reinstall. Also may try excluding the %temp% directory as well as the nimsoft directory to resolve this issue.)
