Issue/Introduction

Error when e-mail alarms in Spectrum AlarmNotifier. The following error is seen in the NOTIFIER.OUT file:

Using SMTP host 10.112.124.41
Using return address ""
sendmail failed 501 5.1.3

Environment

Any Spectrum version
 

Cause

Improper e-mail addresses configured in the Spectrum Alarm Notification (SANM) filter

Resolution

Check the e-mail addresses in the SANM Filter(s) to ensure they are proper e-mail addresses. If using multiple e-mail addresses, ensure they are separated using a comma "," and not a semi-colon ";".
