How to manage IDASH_HOME ENV Variable if multiple copies on same server

Issue/Introduction

We are installing a secondary iDash instance to monitor our QA environment as we keep our production data separated. One item I notice that may be keeping us from seeing job definition data is the fact that IDASH_HOME is pointed to our production instance, but not the QA install. Is it possible to have both instances run if only one IDASH_HOME can be configured?

Resolution

You run the prod tomcat as one user and the QA tomcat as another user. Then each user can have their own IDASH_HOME setting pointing to the correct iDash server.
