Provisioning Manager Upgrade loses configuration information

Issue/Introduction

We have several workstations that are having their Provisioning Manager binaries upgraded, but it always seems to cause the configuration to be lost....is there any way to preserve the PM configuration on an upgrade?

Resolution

  The information about which Provisioning Server the Provisioning Manager is connecting to is stored in the registry under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ComputerAssociates\Identity Manager\Provisioning Manager. You can backup and restore the associated registry entries as needed.
