Recycle jobs failing after moving workload to new esoteric

Issue/Introduction

This past weekend we merged two of our IBM 7700 virtual tape grids into a single grid and moved all of the tape drives to a single esoteric thus removing one of the old esoterics. After that change all of the VTape recycle jobs, that were originally using the esoteric that was removed, have started failing with the following errors:
IKJ56241I DATA SET VTAPE8.VVE.VVR0253.PRIMARY NOT ALLOCATED+
KJ56241I SPECIFIED UNIT IS UNDEFINED
I need to know how to get around this.

Resolution

Issued the SVTS REFRESH=GROUP command after checking that his VTGROUP PRIMARY and DUPLEX settings did have the correct esoteric value coded. The command needs to be issued on all systems that share this Vtape.
