How to REPRO the Detector for Db2 for z/OS (PDT) Control File of one release into the Control File of another release?

Resolution

Using an IDCAMS REPRO utility to copy the Control File is not recommended because it can cause unpredictable results.
Instead recommend the follwoing:

• Use the Detector Control File, Datastore and Profiles from the prior release with the new release. (Data Store Compatibility)

• Allocate Detector Control File, Datastore and Profile for the new release:
  Create the Detector Control File
  Create the Data Store
  Create Collection Profiles
• Afterwards, copy the old Detector Datastore and Profile into the new ones using the PDTDSCPY and PDTCPCPY Utility jobs. Find the JCL for these jobs in your hlq.CDBAJCL library.
