Issue/Introduction

Historically the CA Intertest and CA Symdump CICS r 10 PLT and PLTPI programs were called IN25PLTX, IN25PLT, IN25INST, IN25PLTE and IN25ENPL. When I view the RDO definitions I see programs IN71PLTX,IN71PLT, IN71INST, IN71PLTE and IN71ENPL.
Did the CA Intertest and CA Symdump CICS r 10 CICS PLT and PLTPI programs change for CTS 5.4  from IN25*  to IN71*?

Resolution

The CA Intertest and CA Symdump CICS r 10 PLT and PLTPI programs have not changed and are still called IN25PLTX, IN25PLT, IN25INST, IN25PLTE and IN25ENPL.
Starting in release 9.1 of CA Intertest and CA Symdump CICS the product was redesigned so that ONE load library would support every GA release of CICS. Before release r 9.1 (8.5 and below) you had a unique load library for each level of CICS. You also had unique FMID’S (THREE OR FOR FOUR) for each level of CICS. This setup made it difficult when clients were running multiple CICS levels or upgrading to a new CICS level in mid release. The old setup also required more work on maintenance cycles.

Due to the new design starting in r 9.1 and now r 10 when CICS executes program IN25PLT at PLT time, IN25PLT determines the CICS level and invokes IN71PLT(CTS 5.4) to perform the required setup. The same is true for both CA Intertest and CA Symdump CICS.
