CABI Not Starting Properly

Issue/Introduction

CABI is not starting properly, it simply shows a white page when trying to access it but the services seem to start fine. Version 6.3. The system (Linux) was rebooted and upon coming back up its like this.

Cause

Error seen in the CABI Tomcat catalina log:

2018-08-07 13:12:12,445 ERROR JSSchedulerFactory,localhost-startStop-3:1205 - Couldn't generate instance Id! 
org.quartz.SchedulerException: Couldn't get host name! [See nested exception: java.net.UnknownHostException: [email protected]: [email protected]: unknown error]

When looking at /etc/hosts/  [email protected] is not seen and when trying to ping it, the hostname is not resolvable.

Resolution

At some point during the reboot, the hostname of the system was changed.  Contact your systems administrator to figure out how to properly set the hostname in your environment.
