Other than starting Top Secret with the backup security files and running a TSS LIST(ACIDS), is there is a way to validate the Top Secret backup security files (BDAM and VSAM) to confirm the files are viable ?
There are 2 options:
1) Run TSSCFBK with TSS LIST(ACIDS) DATA(NAMES). TSSCFBK produces customized reports with information extracted from the backup Top Secret security files. If the report(s) run and the information looks good, then you can conclude you have good backup files.

2) Run TSSFAR with SFSTATS against the backup security files. SFSTATS searches the security files and prints statistics.
