Follow these instruction to import a .MIF file into DSM explorer.

How to import external MIF files into ITCM?

Environment

Client Automation - All Versions

Resolution

1. Drop the .MIF file in UAM folder under this location: 
   
   ...\CA\DSM\Agent\units\00000001\uam 
   
   
2. Run the agent from cmd prompt (caf start amagent args \collect) (OR) from the DSM Explorer by right-clicking on the agent and selecting 'Asset Jobs->Activate job check'. 
   
   
3. Once the agent finishes running you will notice that it will create a .MNV file under the UAM folder on the agent. 
   
   
4. The new MIF information will be added In the DSM explorer under "Inventory -> Additional Inventory" section of the agent.
