Environment

Resolution

The VTAM APPLID is defined in CADSOPTN library member DSNETWKX and, when the IDMS SYSGEN job DSEXUSR1 is executed, the APPLID in generated into CA Dispatch/IDMS database file known as the Dictionary (DICTDB).

The corresponding statement in DSNETWKX member looks like the following:

APPLICATION ID IS DISPAT25.

If you are not sure if your DSNETWKX member accurately reflects the current VTAM APPLID that has been defined into the CA Dispatch Dictionary, here are two ways to find out what the current value for the VTAM APPLID is.

In the examples below, DISPAT25 is the defined VTAM APPLID:

  1. In the CA Dispatch joblog, look for message DC900531:
DC900531 V1 CCI Transfer Router for DISPAT25 is Active
  2. Log on to CA Dispatch; at the Enter Next Task Code prompt, enter DCMT D LINE VTMSYS01
    *** PHYSICAL LINE DISPLAY ***
    PLINE-ID VTMSYS01
    STATUS INSRV
    MODULE 5V
    APPL-ID DISPAT25
