Why the field vendor in the inventory tab is not filled after the model is added to a CI?

Resolution
The field vendor will only be updated when the "supply vendor" field in the Service Tab is typed or updated. Even if both are companies they belong to different objects for this reason are stored in different fields for different purposes.
