When user click on a link on the Access page they sometimes get the "Cannot connect to backend device" error message. We need to know what this means and what to do.

Resolution
The "Cannot connect to the backend device." message is generally caused by something preventing connection to the target device. This could be caused by the system being down, a network problem, or something else. You can test on the Config --> Tools page, using ping, traceroute, port scan and resolve name.
