DynamD not copy old IDCAMS tapes

Issue/Introduction

Have a bunch of historical IDCAMS VSAM Catalog backups on 3590 Dynam controlled carts. Attempting to copy those volumes to virtual tapes (Dynam Controlled). The problem is that IDCAMS, puts a bunch of tape marks on the backups and causes TDYNCOPY not to copy the entire backup. 
 

How do we backup tapes with IDCAMS backups to other types of tapes, physical or virtual?

There is no utility in Dynam that can copy these IDCAMS (or LIBR) backups, due to the imbedded tape marks. Other customers have restored the tapes to temporary catalogs and then backed them up again to the new hardware
