The following fixes must be applied so  SOLVE:Operations 11.9 can support mixed case passwords.
Of note is that this also supplies support for MFA and passphrase support.

The first few are not specifically for mixed case password but do affect password handling.

Mixed Case Passwords

The product now supports mixed case passwords with the following JCL parameter for the product region:

XOPT=PWMIX

If you enable this support, consider the following information:

  • Do not share a UAMS database with a region that does not support mixed case passwords and is not using a partial security exit.
  • Ensure that all regions in a multisystem environment have this support enabled.
