Agile Central - HPQC: Connector Error undefined method `entity_type'

Issue/Introduction

When trying to synchronize work items the following error is shown in the log and the work item is not copied:

ERROR : RallyEIF::WRK::Connector.rescue in copy_to_rally - ALM defect ID 12345 not copied to Rally (undefined method `entity_type' for 12345:Fixnum)

Additionally, the configuration will reference either a <QCUrlAttachmentFieldHandler> or a <QCAttachmentFieldHandler>.

 

Environment

HP QC Connector versions 4.8.0, 4.8.1, 4.8.2

Cause

This is caused by a bug in how the connector handles attachments in work items from QC.

Resolution

This issue was resolved in the 4.8.3 version of the connector.
Please contact support to have this version supplied.

It will be necessary to upgrade the existing connector by unpacking the connector files and rerunning 'ruby install_gems.rb'.
