Upgrading CA View and CA Deliver from r11.7 to r12.2

Issue/Introduction

The client wants to upgrade CA View and CA Deliver from r11.7 to r12.2.
Herein are those instructions.
 

Environment

CA View and CA Deliver - 11.7
CA View and CA Deliver - 12.2

Resolution

Client will be using the following steps:
Upgrade CA View
 . Bring down all View started tasks
 . . This includes XMS, EAS, XTD, FSS, any online tasks and any CA Deliver RMOSTC tasks that do a direct write to the database.

 . Run SARDBASE UNLOAD jobs (or use DFDSS or FDR) to backup the current databases.
 . Run SARDBASE VERSION 12.2 jobs against all databases.
 . Run SARDBASE OLOAD jobs against all databases.
 . Run SARDBASE BLOAD jobs against all databases.

 . Modify and assign all needed procs.
 . Start all View tasks and ensure stabilized processing.

Revert CA View Back to 11.7

 . Apply PTFs RO48419, RO48420, and RO63818 to the 11.7 code.
 . Bring down all View started tasks.
 . . This includes XMS, EAS, XTD, FSS, any online tasks and any CA Deliver RMOSTC tasks that do a direct write to the database.

 . Run SARDBASE VERSION 11.7 jobs against all databases.
 . Run SARDBASE OLOAD jobs against all databases, using the 11.7 panels.
 . Run SARDBASE BLOAD jobs against all databases, using the 11.7 banners.

. Modify and assign all needed procs.
. Start all View tasks and ensure stabilized processing

Upgrade CA Deliver

 . Bring down all CA Deliver RMOSTC tasks, using "/F rmostc,OFF".

 . Run RMODBASE UNLOAD jobs (or use DFDSS or FDR) to backup the current databases.
 . Run RMODBASE VERSION 12.2 jobs against all databases.
 . Run RMODBASE OLOAD jobs against all databases.
 . Run RMODBASE BLOAD jobs against all databases.

 . Modify and assign all needed procs.
 . Start all Deliver tasks and ensure stabilized processing.

Revert CA Deliver Back to 11.7

 . Apply PTFs RO63812 and RO72525, to the 11.7 code
 . Bring down all Deliver tasks, using "/F rmostc,OFF"

 . Run RMODBASE VERSION 11.7 jobs against all databases.
 . Run RMODBASE OLOAD jobs against all databases, using the 11.7 panels.
 . Run RMOSARDBASE BLOAD jobs against all databases, using the 11.7 banners.

 . Modify and assign all needed procs.
 . Start all Deliver tasks and ensure stabilized processing.
