How to enable IPSLA monitoring in CA Performance Management (CAPM)

Resolution

There are two ways CA Performance Management can monitor IPSLA tests.

1. Discovering tests already set up on the router itself:
   
   To discover existing IPSLA tests, you would apply a monitoring profile that contains the appropriate Metric Family to discover the tests to a collection containing the devices, such as the Out of the box "Response Path" monitoring profile.
   
   
2. Configuring  IPSLA tests using CA Performance Management: If you need to use CA Performance Management to set up the IPSLA tests see
