SystemEDGE log file monitor is always in the not ready state

We have a request to configure a log monitor with a specific rotating pattern.
Monitor was configured after testing it via a regex tester:
Release: SYSEDG99000-12.9-Stand Alone SystemEDGE Agent
You can use wildcards for paths *, but not regex .*
Alter path syntax using wildcards only:
SystemEDGE and Rotating Log Files:
