Issue/Introduction

How to track PDSE's having more than 1 Extent and reallocate them into just 1 Extent?
Is there a cleaner way to do this?

Environment

Release: SMDI3900200-12.5-Disk-Backup and Restore-for z/OS
Component:

Resolution

The process to use with CA Disk is as follow:
 - Scan the disks in question looking for PDSE and EXTENTS GT 1
 - Then ARCHIVE these
 - Then do a RESTORE command for each of these files that were just Archived so that CA-Disk will bring them back in just 1 Extent.

If you have Ca Vantage with Automation option, you can create a GOA script to perform this process automatically or get an email alert or send an alert.
