Issue/Introduction
Our IEFUTL SMF exit doesn't appear to be getting control when running under z/OS 2.3 lpar.
Our IEFUTL SMF exit doesn't appear to be getting control when running under z/OS 2.3 lpar. We've opened a ticket with IBM SMF and they provided a SLIP trap to create an SVC dump when IEFUTL is supposed to be getting called. After reviewing the dump, IBM has indicated that routine CAIMB8G8 is being called instead of IEFUTL. I have the z/OS 2.3 support maintenance on Common Services:
Environment
z/OS
Resolution
No involvement with Common Services CAIMB8G8.
Customer's IEFUTL was not being executed because they did not have IEFUTL defined in SYSJES2 of the SMFPRMxx member.
