Issue/Introduction

This article explains the logging behavior of the RACFv1 connector in Identity Manager, specifically where to locate log output when troubleshooting endpoint connectivity.

Environment

Identity Manager 14.5

Cause

The RACFv1 connector operates differently from other endpoints in Identity Manager. It does not utilize the Java Connector Server (JCS) or C++ Connector Server (CCS), meaning it does not generate standard connector-specific log directories.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to the Provisioning Manager console.
  2. Select Endpoints > RACF.
  3. Right-click the specific endpoint and select Properties.
  4. Navigate to the Logging tab to enable endpoint-specific logging if required.
  5. Access the output logs in the etayyyymmdd.log file, located in the following directory on the Provisioning Server: \Identity Manager\Provisioning Server\logs
