Issue/Introduction

A scheduled interval job is terminated when the active interval job is being processed by the archive task.  After an interval job has completed, the job completion function readies the event for a new interval.    It is possible for an interval job that has been running for a while without an issue to show  double entry of the job  with same job number in Jobtrac.  The impact due to this is that the interval jobs stops executing as scheduled.

Environment

Release:
Component: JOBTRC

Cause

The Jobtrac archive task processes the event record being cloned.  This process can terminate
the scheduled interval job.

Resolution

The problem can be circumvented by not allowing schedule interval jobs to end at the same
time as the Jobtrac archive occurs.   PTF SO00344 addresses this problem.
