Issue/Introduction

Steps to update the CA 7 NCF Node Table Definitions for Network Communications Facility (NCF) processing NJE work and have the work appear to CA 7.

Environment

Release: 12.1

Resolution

1. Update your NCF Node Table.
   The CA 7 NCF node table for each site must be built using the UNCNOD macro.
   
   
2. Assemble and Link your updated NCF Node Table.
   Member AL2UM02 in the options library (CAL2OPTN) contains model JCL to receive and apply the modified node table.
   
   
3. Run CAS9 with the following statement:
   CA71 UPDATE NCF(01) *NCF can only be used with CA 7 instance CA71
   
   Using the L2OPTS(AL2INIT) file, updates CAS9 procedures to define the CA 7 environment.
   
   
4. Recycle CA7NCF and CA 7 

 

After performing these steps, you will have successfully update your NCF Node Table.
