Issues with existing Endpoint after conversion to vApp v14.2

Issue/Introduction



When attempting to create a connection to an Active Directory after migration to Virtual Appliance 14.2 and attaching an external Connector Server. The following error is given: Active Directory Endpoint creation failed: Connector Server Add failed: code 80 (OTHER-NamingException): failed to add entry eTNamespaceName=ActiveDirectory,dc=im,dc=etasa: javax.naming.NamingException: The CCS Manager is not enabled and no remote server is configured for endpoint type 'ActiveDirectory'.

How to resolve this error?

Resolution

The way to remove this error is to perform the following steps:

1) Remove and reinstall the Connector Server
2) Reboot the Virtual Appliance and Connector server. 
3) Reassign the endpoints to the external Connector server using Connector Xpress.
