Issue/Introduction

Why is CA Datacom/DB 15.1 startup after upgrade from 14.0 failing with:

DB01900I - EXPAND 4K,28
DB01909E - * - ASTERISK POINTS NEAR ERROR
DB01920E - TOO MANY PARAMETERS

Environment

Resolution

Remove the EXPAND statement from the Datacom MUF startup options (SYSIN).
The EXPAND startup option was deprecated with CA Datacom Version 14.0 but tolerated.

Per the CA Datacom Release Notes Version 14.02 on page 78:
"Removed EXPAND from MUF Startup

The EXPAND option has been removed from the MUF startup and if specified, displays an ignored message.”
