Issue/Introduction

In case a rollback is needed, what steps should be take prior to applying a patch.

Environment

All supported Release Automation versions.

Resolution

Before applying a Release Automation patch, a backup of the environment should be performed.
At a minimum, please backup:

• The Database schema used by Release Automation
• The Release Automation file system.

The exact steps needed to perform the above will vary by database, Operating System and overall environment. 
Your DBA and System Admin should be able to assist in this activity.
