Issue/Introduction

Custom Portlet associated with Custom Query is not returning the expected results. How can we diagnose and troubleshoot this issue?

Environment

Release:
Component: ODSTU

Resolution

Please note that SUPPORT does not assist with reviewing/correcting custom queries.

Our suggestion is:

a. Enable the SQL trace for your user.
b. Login and Reproduce the issue.
c. Logout
d. Get the SQL trace file and find the queries there.
e. After you get the SQL trace file please deactivate the SQL trace as it may cause slight performance problems if left on.
f. Run the queries in a data query tool directly in the database and see if you get the same results. If so, something is wrong in your query and you will have to ask the developer of that query to debug it and correct it.

The following Technical Document has the instructions to enable the SQL trace.

If you require further assistance with this issue, which is beyond our scope here in SUPPORT, we can put you in touch with someone who can provide you access to SERVICES, whom can assist you in this matter. This issue is best handled by the CA Technology Services group. They can determine what the problem is with your NSQL.

Also, you can access the CA Clarity PPM Global User Community, and ask if anybody has a similar Query. The Global Community provides a forum for bilateral communication with a goal of informing, educating, and enhancing the users' experience while leveraging CA project and portfolio management (PPM) technology and applications.  Here is the link for CA Clarity PPM Global User Community site:
