Resolution

The bug was introduced in build 2097 and fixed in build 2915 of seosd. The bug caused our seosd not to be able to shutdown correctly and restart properly thus leaving seosd in a bad state and causing seoswd to keep retrying to restart seosd. The problem could also happen when seosd hangs or timeout to seoswd’s ping. The seoswd starts up seosd many times in a short period of time and that is the root cause of seeing multiple seosd processes. This is our latest full installer. This is build 12.8 SP1 (3134) which incorporates fixes for seoswd and seosd. -- Since this is Linux, please install from the latest rollup patch, SO01532 or SO01534, and then apply T3E7246 for Spectre support, T47D130 for OEL 6 UEK4 support, or T47D132 for OEL 6 UEK2 support.
