Environment

Release: ONE...00200-14.0-One-TAPE MANAGEMENT
Component:

Cause

Per a conversation with IBM and checking the OCDS and MCDS, the tape display indicates the volser is not there
IBM stated that it means  HSM doesn't know anything about this tape. Looking at the CA1 listing, the tape was last used on LDATE = 2015/067. What may have happened is that ARCTVEXT which is supplied by CA abended and did not release the tape in CA1. So it would mean the volser needs to be manually expired and removing the EDM flag using TMSUPDTE utility supplied by CA1

Resolution

Utilize TMSUPDTE which can be found in the *.CTAPJCL library.
