How to create a SANM Policy that does not send any alarms to AlarmNotifier

Issue/Introduction

We use SANM to create a Policy with multiple filters to e-mail alarms to different teams during the work week. On the weekend, we do not want alarms from Spectrum to be e-mailed. We need to create a SANM Policy that does not send alarms to AlarmNotifier.

Version: Any
Component: Spectrum Alarm Notification Manager (SANM)

Resolution

Create a new SANM Policy with just one Filter. In this Filter, Exclude ALL landscapes in the Spectrum environment so there are no landscapes in the Include column.

 

Then use the Schedule Policies function to schedule the policies. In this case, the NO Alarms Policy is scheduled to take affect on Friday nights at 11:59 PM. Then, the Alarm Policy is scheduled to take affect on Monday nights at 12:00 AM.
