Issue/Introduction

I have about 20,000 users defined in DATA-DICT.

When I try to do a find on a specific user in Security Maintenance panel T41U I get an invalid message saying that the user does not exist. 

DDOL000470I - 41AP - THE 'SPECIFIC PERSON' YOU ENTERED DOES NOT EXIST  

The search function for the "DATADICTIONARY Security Maintenance" panel does not function efficiently for a large number of users (1000+). If you can scroll forward to locate the user manually, the update can be done online.

Resolution

Use the margin line command *+nnn and hit ENTER to scroll forward that number of lines.  

 

 

Additional Information

DDUPDATE batch utility is the other option to update a PERSON's AUTHORIZATION PROFILE.
