Issue/Introduction

Does CA Client Automation have the ability to both report on the type of power source a system is using as well as continuously monitor and report on power usage?

Resolution

While CA Client Automation (ITCM / ITCA) can detect the power sources a system has and it can also collect WMI/WBEM power information via a custom inventory module, the feature to continuously monitor and report on system power consumption is unavailable via out of the box features or customizations. If this is a requirement, it might still be possible to do via a services engagement, but an inquiry to CA Technologies should be made via direct channels to find out more.
