SYSVIEW Performance Management Option for DB2 for z/OS

Issue/Introduction

Are the I/O rates on the Sysview Performance Management Option for Db2 for z/OS BUFRDWRS panel actually DASD I/O
or SQL SELECT/UPDATE/etc...

Resolution

The “I/O Per Second” field is only for Read I/Os, but it is only for physical I/O to DASD (including prefetch).
Write I/O would be needed to get a complete I/O rate.
