"mts free heap" after restoring the SpevtroSERVER database

Issue/Introduction

After restoring the SpectroSERVER database on Linux, the following error is seen int he $SPECROOT/SS/VNM.OUT file and the SpectroSERVER process will not start:

mts free: (mts_page_gap::Vfree_memory) heap 0 out of bound address 0x7f0200000000 on page 0x7f0200000000 (out of bound)

Environment

CA Spectrum installed on Linux

Cause

Problem caused by "hostname" change on the SpectroSERVER system, however, DNS still resolves the IP to the old hostname.

Resolution

Shutdown all of the Spectrum processes and resolve the hostname discrepancy between the system hostname and the DNS hostname resolution to the ip address. Then restart the Spectrum processes..
