This article provides the configuration procedures to resolve SOAP Connector and Database Connection errors when connecting the Identity Governance Client Tools to an Identity Virtual Appliance (vApp) using an embedded Oracle database.
Identity Governance 14.5 & 15
Connection errors typically result from improperly registered DLL components or missing Oracle TNS client configuration on the local machine running the Client Tools.
Register DLL Components Open an Administrator Command Prompt and register the required DLLs based on your installed version.
Configure TNSNAMES.ORA Ensure Oracle Client Tools are installed on the Windows server. Locate and verify the tnsnames.ora file (e.g., C:\app\client\Administrator\product\12.2.0\client_1\network\admin\tnsnames.ora). Confirm the host entry matches the database server:
Update Local Hosts File Copy the entries from the /etc/hosts file on the vApp server to the C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file on the Windows machine. This allows the machine to resolve the database_srv hostname.
Configure Static SQL Credentials Launch the Identity Governance Client Tools and navigate to General Settings:
ORACLE.database_srv.EUREKIFY_SDB username and password.Configure Server-Requested Credentials Restart the Client Tools and return to General Settings:
http://{vApp_IP_Address}:8082/eurekify/services/sageDNAService.For further information about Client Tools installation, see documentation Client Tools Server Hardware Requirements - 14.5 or Install Client Tools - v15
