While attempting any IDMS utility, a message similar to this is displayed on the screen:
ATTEMPT TO LOAD PROGRAM FAILED: PMRTSCHK
The load module is present as is proven by the command LOOK PROGRAM=PMRTSCHK
The module identified (in this case PMRTSCHK) could be anything.
Environment
IDMS, any supported release.
Cause
The most likely cause of this message is that the module identified is not defined to the IDMS System Generation.
Resolution
There are two likely reasons why the definition is missing.
1. The module was added by a recent APAR and HOLDDATA for that APAR (which would add the SYSGEN definition) has not been followed.
-OR-
2. One or more of the configuration steps was omitted. In particular, ensure that "Job 9: SYSTEM and SYSDIRL Dictionaries" and "Job 17: Generate SYSTEM 90" were completed successfully as documented here: https://docops.ca.com/ca-idms/19/en/installing/installation-and-maintenance-for-z-os/starting-your-product/generated-configuration-tasks Also be sure that the PROGRAMS and TASKS are copied from SYSTEM 99 not only to SYSTEM 90 but also to the SYSTEM number that your CV actually uses (SYSTEM 90 is a demonstration system only and your CV most likely uses its own number).
