After Updating the Build of 12.1 Web Viewer, must I run the ConfigTool?

Issue/Introduction

I'm upgrading 12.1 CA Web Viewer application from Build 158 to 187. When we upgrade to the new Build/level, should we run the configuration tool again? I see configuration folder is there so it should pickup the current information. Right? Or we have to run the configuration tool again?

Resolution

While you should not have to run the ConfigTool after a Build level update, it would not hurt to do just that. You don't have to change anything and you can still run the CCI connect and DRAS discovery tests (and database if you'd like). The recommendation is yes, go ahead and run the ConfigTool. If you don't change anything, it should behave fine - all connections should test successfully.
