Library Replication for High Availability is done to copy the development environment from one machine to another or one partition to another for backup purposes. It does not include the runtime environment. This process is done using a 3rd Party vendor software not supported by CA 2E.
How we handle the license/product authorization in the replication/HA?
CA 2E 8.7 and higher
1. When the environment is replicated, you do not want to include license keys. The license library is YLUSLIB. YLICREGP and YLICTBLP hold the license. If there are no license keys on the HA system, follow these steps to generate them.
DSPSYSVAL QMODEL for AS/400 Model
DSPSYSVAL QSRLNBR for Serial Number
If you cannot avoid replicating the license library from your production to the HA box, you would need to issue these commands on your HA box.:
CLRPFM YLUSLIB/YLICREGP
CLRPFM YLUSLIB/YLICTBLP
YGRTLICAUT to apply the license keys for the HA box.
2. If your site uses CM (Implementer), refer to the following info.
The Implementer product library can be mirrored, with the following exclusions:
a. Do not mirror IMSILVON, ISSILVON, & SISILVON data areas and files on host and receiver
b. If receiver, also do not mirror IRSILVON data area and file
c. Implementer temporary libraries should not be mirrored
d. Temporary libraries identified by prefix of 'IM', followed by 4 digit request number
e. To determine if temporary library prefix was modified, do DSPDTAARA (IMPRFX)
in Implementer host product library
f. Can change prefix to any 2 digit identification scheme if needs be
g. Third character must be blank
Note: The above files & data areas will not be included if mirrored library restored
Then request and apply the CM license keys in HA.
