Issue/Introduction
How does CA Telon handle the Importing of a DB2 Table into the TDF?
Environment
CA Telon interfacing with the DB2 catalog.
Resolution
The source for the CA Telon program of TNMCDB2I is located in highlevelqual.CAWLSRC(#DB2ICOB). 2. Each site makes modifications to the source to fit their shop standards. 3. Then the following JCL is run:
//* DB2 PRE COMPILE OF TNMCDB2I //************************************************ //DB2PC EXEC PGM=DSNHPC,REGION=4096K, // PARM=('SOURCE','HOST(IBMCOB)','APOST')
//* COMPILE THE GENERATED PROGRAM //***************************************************************** //COB EXEC PGM=IGYCRCTL,REGION=512K,COND=(5,LT,DB2PC), // PARM='SOURCE,MAP,LIST,SSRANGE,LIB,APOST,NOSEQ,RENT,XREF'
//* LINK THE GENERATED PROGRAM //************************************************************ //LKED EXEC PGM=IEWL,REGION=1024K, // PARM='MAP,XREF,LIST,NORENT,REUS,AMODE=31,RMODE=24' //SYSIN DD * INCLUDE SYSLIB(DSNELI) ENTRY TNMCDB2I NAME TNMCDB2I(R)
//********************************************************* //* DB2BIND - BIND THE PLAN FOR THE SQL INTERFACE //SYSTSIN DD * DSN SYSTEM(xxxx) <== where ‘xxxx’ is the DB2 Subsystem BIND PLAN(TNMCDB2I) MEMBER(TNMCDBRM) ACT(REPLACE) ISOLATION(CS) END /* //SYSIN DD * GRANT EXECUTE ON PLAN TNMCDB2I TO PUBLIC;
Additional Information
Since TNMCDB2I is dynamically called, it must be available to the Telon Design Facility at runtime.
