Issue/Introduction

NRI (Non Resident Inventory) of Windows 10 machine appears as Unclassified Platform.

Environment

CA ITCM 14.0 GA, SP1, SP2

Cause

Problem occurs if the files *.wlscr located on DOMAIN ITCM under

C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\DSM\Web Console\webapps\wac\jsp\ei\wl\scripts\<lang>

does not contain the line for file OSConfig.xml

 

Resolution

1- Edit file C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\DSM\Web Console\webapps\wac\jsp\ei\wl\scripts\enu\1basic.wlscr with notepad

Replace this line in [Download_Windows] section :

Files=18
by
Files=19

Add this line at the end : 
 

File19=OSConfig.xml 

Save the modification. 



2- Edit file C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\DSM\Web Console\webapps\wac\jsp\ei\wl\scripts\enu\2adv.wlscr with notepad

Replace this line in [Download_Windows] section :

Files=20 
by 
Files=21 

Add this line at the end :
 

File21=OSConfig.xml 

Save the modification. 


3- Edit file C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\DSM\Web Console\webapps\wac\jsp\ei\wl\scripts\enu\3register.wlscr with notepad :

Replace this line in [Download_Windows] section :
 

Files=16
by 
Files=17 

Add this line at the end :
 

File17=OSConfig.xml 

Save the modification. 

4- If needed repeat these 3 steps for other used languages (ex: C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\DSM\Web Console\webapps\wac\jsp\ei\wl\scripts\it)
