Groups Tab Missing in Create or Modify Group Task - CA Identity Manager

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to version 14.x, you may find that the Groups tab is missing from the Create or Modify Group tasks in the Identity Manager environment. This occurs when the UserStore.xml configuration does not explicitly allow the display of the Groups tab.

 

Environment

Identity Manager 14.x, 15.x
Identity Suite 14.x

Cause

Post-upgrade configuration settings in UserStore.xml may need to be updated to ensure the Groups tab is visible, especially when using Dynamic group types.

Resolution

1. Export the UserStore directory XML file using the Management Console.
2. Open the XML file and locate the relevant entries for the Groups tab.
3. Ensure the settings are configured to ALL.
4. Re-import the updated XML file through the Management Console.
5. Restart the Identity Management Environment (IME) for the changes to take effect.
