Project Category attribute value drop-down shows blank on projects

Issue/Introduction

After creating a Project Category attribute value, the Project Category drop-down menu is still showing up blank on your projects.  

What step is missing to get the new value to become available on the drop-down for your projects?

Cause

The Project Category attribute uses the Idea and Project Category Parameterized Lookup. This is a parameterized lookup to display Idea Request Categories (Project Categories) based on the Idea Request Type (Project Type) selected. This lookup is dependent upon the mapping done in the Lookup Mapping Object. 

Resolution

Create a new lookup mapping using the steps below:

1. Go to Home - Lookup Mapping
2. Click on the 'New Lookup Mapping' button
