Issue/Introduction

Below error message is shown when check in the account.
This is observed for an account of 'Windows Remote' target application.

PAM-UI-1200: Error checking in password view

Resolution

This is a known issue.
When the password contains special char like !\> it gets updated successfully in the PAM vault but the sync with the target system fails.
This sync failure is not updated to the end user.
When the user tries to change the password again, the password from the vault is not in sync with the target server and it keeps failing.

Workaround:
Create a new Password Composition Policy that does not use special characters and attach it to your Windows Remote Target Application.
