Issue/Introduction
Have LDAP goupDN set for role "DevTest Administrator" .
When logging in to DevTest with credentials with this role to the Workstation get this error:
User does not have permission to use DevTest Workstation with this registry. Please contact your DevTest administrator. [user=XXXXXXX]
When logging in to Portal, allows log in, but role assigned is Default Role.
Cause
There is an issue with the "DevTest Administrator" role with LDAP.
Environment
Release: Component: ITKOTF
Resolution
The Workaround is to not define a groupDN in the ldap-mappings.xml file for role "DevTest Administrator" but if these privileges are needed, create a new custom role in the Portal with the same privileges as "DevTest Administrator".
Add this new role to the ldap-mappings.xml file and assign the groupDN that needs the privileges of this role.
This defect, DE372565, has been reported for both DevTest 10.1.0, 10.2.4 and DevTest 10.3.0.
