Service Catalog - Integration with Process Automation over SSL fails

CA Service Catalog CA Process Automation Base

Issue/Introduction

Clicking on test button from Service Catalog configuration getting the following error message:

"Error Encounter While Trying to connect.Please check your configuration & server availability." 

In the view.log following errors are showing 

 ERROR [http-bio-443-exec-12] [CConfiguration] CCONF.TESTCONF.EXCPT 
com.ca.usm.webservices.WebserviceException: Error in executing SRF. ITPAM not able to login to Catalog. 

Environment

Service Catalog 17.x

Resolution

1) Add a Root CA (Certificate Authority, rather than CA Technologies) certificate to the keystore on the Service Catalog server. This is required by more recent versions of Tomcat to accept the key as valid. Details are documented at this step in the documentation:
